A vintage affair.....

...These are my Atc's for the Vintage Swap
over at Chriss's 'swap til you drop'
Hosted this month by the talented Guest designer
Patty.
I'm a little busy at the moment, but had to join in this swap,
as it is one of my favourite themes!

Rubber stamped and distressed background

...an alterered crackle distressed twinchie

....and some vintage lace and a button.
-oOo-
I seem to be going through a shabby/vintage phase
in my creating at the moment.
I get a real thrill at discovering some 'old' lace and vintage paper and buttons
on my travels.
Love adding them to my artwork.
...although sometimes I find it hard to part with some of the fantastic vintage findings! LOL
Does anyone else have problems using or parting with some of their crafting stash?
Or is it just me!!!! :O
Thanks for Looking
Jan x

Hi Jan, These are amazing. Beautiful. They remind me of a technique I sometimes use with wax shoepolish, beeswax and diamond glaze which produces a similar look. Have a happy day, Mollye

How lovely! They're positively wonderful! I totally agree with you about it being difficult to use the goodies that you bought to use! Antique, real antique ephemera . . .I just can't do it. I copy it first and use the copies. I've used a few, and immediately regretted it. It breaks my heart to see wonderful, truly old things made unuseable (even if it is for art). Art tastes are fleeting, and in fifty years, I'm afraid someone will be even more sad at our disrespect for old things. I'm such a wimp.

Great atc's Jan - fingers crossed one will be coming my way in the swap!!! I love the effects you have used.

I am getting better at parting!!! and using up my 'stash' generally. I like to think of them in happy new homes. I still feel guilty cutting up books - I do it - but it just doesn't feel right!!!! I think I am a wimp too!

these are simply lovely. I love the crackle effect and the vintage buttons and lace! I am a shabby vintage lover too and I do havea hard time parting with my stuff. I guess I am more of a collector when it comes to my craft supplies although I am trying to make myself use my stuff before buying any more new(not working though) : ) thanks for sharing. Have a good weekend. Angela
