Tag Tuesday - Easter Eggs

is...

Easter Eggs....

...it's been a lovely Spring sunny day here in Essex (UK)...

...So I grabbed some fabric (toile,gingham & canvas) buttons, lace, ric rac, beads and some pom pom trim)

 ... ventured out into the garden...

...and hand stitched a simple little Easter tag.

Tag Tuesday - Goosey

I Know...I Know.....it's Thursday!!

Just couldn't get my tag made for Tuesday this week!!!

Just been one of those CRAZY weeks...

Busy Busy Busy!!

Had a lovely day out at the start of the week though , too the Ideal Home exibition and afterwards to the cinema... :)

...and thought I was going to have a quieter day yesterday, but had to take son #1 to the hospital, he had a fall on to his ankle, luckily nothing broken...but quite severe ligament damage :( ...so he's not a happy bunny!!)

...and today I really should be catching up on some housework!! (whoops! ...sorry for swearing!!!)

...but I'm having withdrawl symptoms from  the craft room

..the paper was calling my name!!!

So here is my (late) tag...

is...

GOOSEY

...- a gaggle of geese, ducks or the colour "duck egg blue", goosey goosey gander, etc.

So here is my take on the theme....

I didn't have anything goose/ geese in my craft stash, ...but found this cute lil duck image...so went with that...

I've used...vintage images, butterfly wings, manilla tag, ticket embellie, buttons, lace, measure tape, and the background is old stitched bookpaper from my lovely friend Margaret.

...all distressed with inks and paints.

Happy Mail......

I was thrilled to win this stunning print called 'Pia' from the beautiful

Jenny is an amazing artist, the faces she paints are soooo beautiful.

'Pia' also arrived with her own little printed story (such a sweet touch!)

and some wonderful goodies too....

Matchbox Monthly Swap
my swap partner for the
'Winter sparkly blue swap'
was the Lovely
Les
(another awesome artist)

  Lesley's 1st matchbox went MIA in the crazy postal system..
....so Les, being the sweetie she is, so kindly made up another swap for me.
..and I came home one day to find not ONE but TWO lovely packages !!!
Yes, box #1 made it safely along with replacement matchbox #2 ....on the same day!!!!
How weird is that!! 
Both boxes were beautifully decorated with hand made embossed papers and gorgeous trims and vintage images.
...and the lovely goodies that Les spoilt me with...

..and Les also surprised me with these....

..... my breath has been taken away by these stunning little canvasses, Oh my!! I just love the little mermaid with the mini shells and amazing backgrounds!!...and I am so honoured to have one of Lesley's first mixed media portraits!! 'Peace' she is Gorgeous...
Thanks again Les...and I'm still working on a little 'Thank you' package for Les...as a token of my appreciation for going through all the trouble of making two swaps for me!

Mad March -Tag Tuesday

Over at

Tag Tuesday

this weeks theme is...

♥ MAD MARCH HARES AND RABBITS ♥

I was struggling a little this week...

I've got a couple of rubber stamps with bunnies and even one with a hare...

...but what ever I tried ...It just didn't seem to work?!!

(Don't you just hate that when it happens LOL!)

I was just about to give up....then I  took a little peek in my 'odds and ends' scraps box....

and found a little pic of a white rabbit and a little girl

(I think it may be a Alice in Wonderland piccy?)

and this is the result of my Mad March tag....

I used some distressed Paper and Bingo card for the background.

fabric tape measure, pin, pink cheesecloth, crochet, flowers, buttons, bingo number, cut out the image of bunny & girl which I added the daffodil, butterfly wings and crown too.

Birds - Tag Tuesday

Over atTag Tuesday

this weeks theme is...

'Birds'

I was inspired by the birds nesting in the trees outside my window....

....getting ready for Spring

-oOo-

I decided to raid my scraps box of 'odds and ends'

and I've gone a little collage crazy...

 I used a manilla tag for the base...

then added...

...collage scraps, lace, bingo card, cheesecloth, paperclip. postage stamp, german scrap and a cute little nest and eggs embellishment.

...all distressed with distressing inks and a paper distresser.

I thought I would take advantage of a lovely sunny afternoon

...and photograph this weeks tag outside in the garden.

I am soooo enjoying this creative challenge,

not only making the tags each week,

(which keeps the mojo ticking over)

but there is also sooooo much inspirational work to peek at!!
