Happy Easter - Tag Tuesday

This weeks theme over at

Tag Tuesday

is...

Easter....

I rummaged through my lace box and came across this little beauty...

....So I decided to use this for the base of my tag.

I digtally altered some free clip art images, then printed them onto some printable fabric...

...added lace, vintage and wooden buttons, gingham, coin envelope, safety pin, flower charm and a little stitching...

...and the netted mesh ribbon is recycled from some recent garden furniture packaging.

Tag Tuesday - Easter Eggs

This weeks theme over at

Tag Tuesday

is...

Easter Eggs....

...it's been a lovely Spring sunny day here in Essex (UK)...

...So I grabbed some fabric (toile,gingham & canvas) buttons, lace, ric rac, beads and some pom pom trim)

 ... ventured out into the garden...

...and hand stitched a simple little Easter tag.

Birds - Tag Tuesday

Over atTag Tuesday

this weeks theme is...

'Birds'

I was inspired by the birds nesting in the trees outside my window....

....getting ready for Spring

-oOo-

I decided to raid my scraps box of 'odds and ends'

and I've gone a little collage crazy...

 I used a manilla tag for the base...

then added...

...collage scraps, lace, bingo card, cheesecloth, paperclip. postage stamp, german scrap and a cute little nest and eggs embellishment.

...all distressed with distressing inks and a paper distresser.

I thought I would take advantage of a lovely sunny afternoon

...and photograph this weeks tag outside in the garden.

I am soooo enjoying this creative challenge,

not only making the tags each week,

(which keeps the mojo ticking over)

but there is also sooooo much inspirational work to peek at!!

Poetry and Prose - Tag Tuesday

Over at
Tag Tuesday

this week the theme is Poetry and Prose....
I don't have a favourite poem,
...but this one does hold a special place in my heart
My father sadly passed away on Valentine's day (11 years ago)
and a dear friend sent me this poem...

'Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

So, on the anniversary of my fathers passing...These comforting words inspired me to make this weeks tag....

I chose the chipboard tag, because of its shape, painted the background with shades of grey, stamped and embossed the flowers and angel (Andy Skinner stamps) coloured the Angel with promarkers, added the R.I.P. (alpha stamps) words (computer printed words), seam binding, a cross charm I found in my craft stash, vintage rule and a little paper rose.

Made from  chipboard tags, crackle painted, distressed with distress inks and paint, added collage vintage images (REDlead) doily,lace, bingo no's, seam binding, buttons, tickets, Valentine words are from a Redlead rubberstamp.

This little sweetie reminds me of my Barney Boy....

Here he is having fun in the UK snow last week!!

He's a little monster....

......but he melts my Heart!!

 Made from a chipboard tag, crackle painted, distressed with inks, added this gorgeous image and stamped words stamp ( fab freebies from an order with REDlead )

then added some seam binding, safety pin, scrap wings, 'heart' and vintage buttons.

Found this wooden blank in my craft stash, crackle painted (yep...still crackle painting LOL!)

distressed with inks....added image (crafty individuals)

More stamping (using my Redlead stamp)

Tag Tuesday - Lace ....and an Angel...

I LOVE using Lace in my projects...

...so had fun making this weeks tag.

Here is my 'Lace' tag

for

 Tag Tuesday

Made from a Manila tag wrapped in vintage lace.

I experimented with a rub-on transfer on to some cheesecloth.

added vintage buttons, charms, broken jewellery, distressed paper and a little tag.

My first chunky ATC

I was inspired by Jenny after seeing her beautiful Art Blocks

...and was so lucky to beable to trade with her.

 This is what I created for Jenny

I drew the Angel, and coloured with water colour pencils, paints  and PaperArtsy Fresco finish paints.

 Crackle paint, lace, wings, heart, crown charm and vintage buttons.

....drawer knob, doily and I found this vintage velvet yoyo in my stash and thought it would top it off nicely!

Tag Tuesday - Vintage ...and a Sneaky peek....

Here are my Vintage tags for
 Tag Tuesday....

 I got a little carried away this week and made two...

The backgrounds are made from old Bingo cards....added some vintage images, vintage book paper, seam binding ribbon, vintage buttons, lace, string trim, dresden wings, cork washers, eyelets, TH pins and all distressed with inks and paint.
