Tag Tuesday - Lace ....and an Angel...

I LOVE using Lace in my projects...

...so had fun making this weeks tag.

Here is my 'Lace' tag

for

 Tag Tuesday

Made from a Manila tag wrapped in vintage lace.

I experimented with a rub-on transfer on to some cheesecloth.

added vintage buttons, charms, broken jewellery, distressed paper and a little tag.

Looking forward to next weeks theme...'Hearts'

I can show this as the lovely Jenny in Australia has received it now...

My first chunky ATC

I was inspired by Jenny after seeing her beautiful Art Blocks

...and was so lucky to beable to trade with her.

 This is what I created for Jenny

I drew the Angel, and coloured with water colour pencils, paints  and PaperArtsy Fresco finish paints.

 Crackle paint, lace, wings, heart, crown charm and vintage buttons.

....drawer knob, doily and I found this vintage velvet yoyo in my stash and thought it would top it off nicely!

Thanks again Jenny for a wonderful trade!

Anyway here is my DT take on this challenge..

I decided to make a little 'Dream' Box

The idea is..... I can write down little notes of my hopes and dreams for 2012 and pop them inside my dream box!

To create my little 'Dream' box...

I started of with a box blank

I waded through my stash of lace, buttons, chipboard, embellies etc... this is my favourite part of the creative process.

Then I had a little play.... of where I want to place the embellishments onto my box.

When I was happy where I wanted to put everything...

I then crackle painted my whole box.
(I'm a little addicted to crackle painting at the mo...Beware..If it stays still long enough around here it gets crackle painted LOL!!)
I used the PaperArtsy Fresco finish paints

...added some Tim Holtz feet (love these)

 Mmmmmm...I do believe in maximum embellishment LOL

Tag Tuesday - Vintage ...and a Sneaky peek....

VINTAGE

Here are my Vintage tags for
 Tag Tuesday....

 I got a little carried away this week and made two...

The backgrounds are made from old Bingo cards....added some vintage images, vintage book paper, seam binding ribbon, vintage buttons, lace, string trim, dresden wings, cork washers, eyelets, TH pins and all distressed with inks and paint.

WHITE

 Made with a chipboard tag, with a painted crackle effect background, vintage image, seam binding, vintage button, added some lace, stamped clock with crackle effect, TH pen nib and a metal butterfly charm used for wings.

 

Last weeks tag...

SNOW SPORTS AND GAMES

 Made with a chipboard tag,  painted with a crackle effect background, vintage image, dictionary definitions, lace, seam binding, vintage buttons, ribbon rose, pom pom trim and a pom pom for a snowball :)

 and the first weeks tag...

Snowflakes are kisses sent from heaven

Made with a brown luggage tag, stamped the 'icicles' and 'angel' (Andy Skinner stamps) coloured with vintage photo distress ink and a white pencil, snowflake paper background, aqua pom pom trim, seam binding , cheesecloth and added a crochet 'snowflake' with a button.
