Tissue paper backgound ATC

On one of my ATC swapping groups, we've been given a challenge of making cards with the tissue paper background method.

For those who are not familiar with tissue backgrounds, they are soooooo simple to make, and are really effective. This is how I made mine:

Get some ATC sized card and some Tissue paper

Coat the card in PVA Glue

Scrunch your tissue paper

stick it to the card

Then finally, when dry, trim around the edges.

This is one that I made using some red tissue.

I've just sponged over it with some gold and black inks.

And thats a tissue background, told you it was easy peasy!!!

.......Which just leaves you to embellish it.

I've just added a few embellishments, Inked

......and have even machine stitched for the very First time on my ATC's!!

( Hence the wobbly lines LOL)

Shoe Inchies...

Now that I've discovered a new addiction to inchies!! I've decided to join a new Yahoo Inchie Group, 'addictedtoinchies' run by the Beckster!!, and moderated by the lovely Lester!! and myself. Our first challenge is shoe inchies, These are mine.

They are all collaged, the first three have rubber stamped backgrounds, and all are coloured with stamp pads and Tim Holtz distress Inks.

Mmmm, was wondering what to with inchies, now that I've made them?

How do you store these minature creations?

If anyone out there as any good ideas, then please let me know!!

interesting Inchies

I've been trying something new just recently...

....Inchies !

These little 1" by 1" minature pieces of art, I can see becoming another addiction of mine if I'm not too careful LOL

I thought I'd try an asian theme, for my first attempt. I've used a mixture of stamps, collage & twinkling H2O's.

My first atc....

Mmmm, it must be nearly 18 months since I discovered and became interested in Artist Trading Cards !! I'd been into crafts and cardmaking for years.

I cant even remember where I first heard about them?

Must have been in a craft mag or something similar?

Well,I took the plunge and joined a few Fantastic atc groups online, and also found individual atc'ers to trade with along the way.

....and now I'm addicted to making these little pieces of art!

This is the first Artist trading card that I created, I've not kept many of my 'own' cards, because not only am I obsessed with making them, I'm also hooked on trading them!!

...but I've decided to hang on to the first card that I made.

I've got a nice little collection now, 2 A4 Binders full of treasures from creative people in the UK and also arty peeps from all over the world!!

...and it wont be long before a new Binder is needed!

My First Post!! .....

Mmmmm, Not sure where to start!

A little bit scary LOL

Just lurve peeking at other peoples crafty blogs!

So thought I would start my own blog, to share my crafty addictions with you all!

I'm a Crafting and ATC addict, I trade atc's on a regular basis within a few groups that I've joined and on an individual basis too.

Am looking forward to sharing some little treasures with you in the upcoming months, or even years (If I ever get the hang of this blogging lark! )
