Tag Tuesday - Found objects

This weeks theme over at
is...
Found Objects....
Southend - pic taken by Hubby
Last week, we took son #2 for his college interview over at Southend on sea. So while he was busy being quizzed about his Art and Design to get a place at the college, Hubby and I, took Barney Boy for a lovely long walk along the sea-front.
Barney enjoying the sea air!!
So, with this weeks tag theme in mind, I decided  to 'find' something on the beach...
So a few little shells came home with me that day.
Still not sure what to do with the shells....
...then inspiration struck, when I found something else ....a discarded clothing label on sons bedroom floor...from  a recent T-shirt purchase...
So, this is the result of my 'found' items...
a simple little tag...
..added a little paint, cheesecloth, old button, Tim Holtz embellies, jump rings and shells .
-oOo-
...and the Good news, son secured a college place!! woop woop! :)

Thanks for peeking!
Jan x

I love that picture taken by your hubby! The tag is fantastic too! My mother has been collecting clothing and other tags for years and years. She finds the art of the clothing tag beautiful and she has probably 10 thousand or more. She doesn't make anything with them and at one time had them all over her walls like a wallpaper of sorts. It was really cool. I would go into that room and end up spending hours looking at all of the tags. One day she told me she was passing down the keeping of the tags to me. Not giving me the tags she had but now I was to save my own...oddly enough I did. Maybe I should take inspiration from you and make something pretty!

MANY congratulations to your son!! Hope is hoping to go to college to study Art and Design next year so I might be picking your brain about how to secure a much fought over place!

Your tag is gorgeous and quite different from your usual style. I hunt for tags on my son's bedroom floor too (among the socks and discarded magazines!).

Barney looks so happy enjoying his day at the seaside :o)
