The Big Knit....

I've always been envious of people that can knit
Gorgeous jumpers, beautiful bags, cutsie baby clothes etc....
Learning to knit has been on my crafty to-do list for ever
So when Hubby brought this home from work the other night...
I thought the day had finally come to master those knitting needles.

The kits are for charity to raise money for Age UK (previously Age Concern) ,
hosted by Innocent Drinks
More deets Here
You have to knit little hats which will be placed on innocent smoothie drinks, and for every behatted bottle sold, 25p is donated to Age UK.

So with the wonders of YouTube
I have now learnt myself to Cast on, Knit and Purl  !!
-oOo-
Now..... I have
limited patience
and the
attention span of a gnat !!
So these little knitted projects were just perfect size for me,
as they didn't take too long to complete each one.

Anyway.... here are some of my first hand knitted efforts....
Modelled by Doris and Gertie...

Mmmm..... someone has got a bee in their bonnet !!

..and this little number was inspired by my Barney Boy !!

A  little selection of the hats I have knitted so far....
Now mine are pretty basic, being a knitting newbie and all.....but if you click here and here you can see some other fun little knitted wonders !
Thanks for Looking

Those are adorable! Love the doggie one and the ones with flowers. Good for you. Perhaps some day I shall re-learn to knit as well...it has been years. Anyway, have a great day. ; )

Oh Jan, they're fantastic!!! You sure you're a novice - LOL. I love the way you've modelled them too - really made me smile, especially the Barney one! What a great cause too!
