Steampunk Debutante and some Shabby Dancers - Canvas Swap

My dear bloggy friend
and I challenged each other to a canvas swap...
Now, I'm new to creating with a canvas
...so was a little nervous about this swap !
..and especially has Martina is soooo talented.

..and this is what Martina sent to me...
Steampunk Debutante
 I LOVE it !!
...beautifully designed with Graphic 45 papers
The frame has a gorgeous texture and colour...
more beautiful embellishments.... steampunk cogs
...and I love what martina has done with the rosette, cog and spinner :)
..a truly inspiring piece of art !!
Martina, you are definately are the
Queen of Steampunk !!
Thank you so much !

..and this is what I created for Martina...
Some...
 Shabby Dancers
'Dance like no one is watching'
for my background I collaged some vintage papers, music sheets with some white gesso.
... the owl is cut from an old postcard
added some, lace, tickets, clip, dymo words, vintage buttons
and a optical lens for his monacle.
The girl images I received as part of an inspiration swap earlier this year.
The little vintage prima ballerina I painted black to compliment the other colours.
I've been on a bit of a card making spree just lately, so also made a special one for Martina

Thank you again Martina for a fabulous Swap !
It's been FUN

Thanks for Looking !

Oh Smiff, both are wonderful pieces. I think you did a fab job with your first canvas, I just finished one myself Asian of course.
Take care and can't wait to see what you did for Colour of Summer tomorrow.

Two fab canvases Jan, and if I were Martina your card would be framed and hung up in my craft room!

Both canvases are just fabulous!!! Each unique and a reflection of the artist who created it! Love it!

Now why didn't I think to paint some of my ballerinas with a black tutu!! Guess what I'm going to be doing LOL

These are BOTH absolutely wonderful! I love the colours and texture of Martina's, it really is a work of art. And yours - I love the idea of dancing like no one is watching (no one would want to be watching me, believe me!), and the owl with the 'monocle' is superb! He is a brilliant touch. The card you made for Martina is SO lovely, and very 'you'.

The ballerina canvas and the vintage card are mine now! I'm so happy! It`s even more gorgeous in "Natura" and I've also found a nice place to hang on the wall. Thanks again, dear Jan!
